populations. While in school Alec volunteered at the Professionals Accelerating Clinical and Educational Redesign (PACER) Clinic. A project that united workers across several health disciplines. He is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).

Personal statement:  I believe each client’s story is unique.  While my clients may have similar diagnoses the issues that brought them to therapy are unique and each person requires an individualized therapeutic approach that fits their needs.

I consider myself a generalist (meaning that I use many empirically supported approaches).  I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help the client and discover self-defeating thoughts and feelings that may be interfering with daily functioning. We discuss environmental stressors that may be impacting the client and develop new coping skills. Treatment models that emphasize the therapeutic relationship such as Client Centered Therapy are useful in facilitating an atmosphere of trust and support.  I have worked with children, adolescents and adults and plan to see all ages throughout my career. I want all my clients to feel listened to, and help them develop new ways to approach the way they view themselves, close relationships and their life!
