Meet Kim Pinto. Kim has her Master’s degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has worked in this field professionally for over 10 years, but has studied attachment disorders and trauma for nearly 20 years. Kim has experience working with a variety of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, attachment problems, emotional regulation, and behavior management. As an Adoption Competent counselor, she has a passion for working with adoptive families around the unique struggles they face.

Kim was a Director of Clinical Services at her prior position, has participated on the Trauma-Informed Care Network of Williamsburg as a Co-Chair of the Legal Committee, and is the current Chair of the Eastern Region Adoption Consortium. She also teaches Trauma and other topics at Saint Leo University in the Masters of Social Work program. In 2019, The Healing Project, LLC was born out of the hope of having a one-stop shop for hurting families with special attention to foster and adoptive families. As a training enthusiast, Kim utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques to reach and connect with her clients.
